5 You have (A)lived luxuriously on the earth and lived in self-indulgence. You have [a]fattened your hearts in a (B)day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and (C)murdered (D)the righteous man; [b]he does not resist you.

Patience and Perseverance

7 Therefore be patient, (E)brothers, (F)until the coming of the Lord. Behold, (G)the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the soil, being patient about it, until [c]it receives (H)the early and late rains.
